Mississippi Man Sentenced for Killing Bald Eagle

Following his guilty plea, Garrison was sentenced to six months of house arrest, a $2500 fine, two years of probation, and revocation of his hunting and fishing privileges for two years. The case was investigated by agents with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
"The bald eagle remains protected by federal law," said Robert Oliveri, USFWS Resident Agent-In-Charge for Mississippi. Federal agents will work closely with state conservation officers to investigate any killings of bald eagles."
